Hello Beautiful people!
I'm Dr Ritu Singla. I'm a non-practising doctor and proud mum of 2 gorgeous boys. I live in New South Wales, Australia.
My Journey so far.....
Those who know me personally, would describe me enthusiastic, passionate & crazy about creativity who would go a mile further 'to make it stand out' in everything I do.
I always knew I had a little baby creative bug inside me but little did I know that the baby was growing too quickly and in no time, would just be ready to roar n soar.
Having spent over a decade of being a doctor, being a wife and being a mum, I decided to give my passion a go. When I was young, my father once told me that 'when you start feeling content with what you have in life, do what you love to do and this will keep you going for rest of your life'. That's exactly what happened with me. I am married to an amazing guy who is not just an understanding & supportive husband but a very loving & caring father too. I've got two beautiful boys who drive me nuts most of the days but are still the love of my life. These three along with my beautiful family, near & far, are my core strength that always keep me going. Having felt content, it was now time to do what I love doing the most.
I love creating things, making special days extra special and love seeing people getting amazed looking at my work. I first started with celebrating my kids birthdays in themes. I would do everything in theme, right from decorations, dress ups, party food, cake, party games & not to forget- even party bags, ALL by myself. This helped me learn heaps about so many aspects of event organising and also about chocolate fondant decorations on cakes. Thats where I found out about my LOVE for chocolates!
Alongside,I also started creating gifts for my friends kids birthdays and other small occasions. I made a Barbie dressed in a Chocolate candy dress for a friend's 5yr old daughter. The first Diaper cake I made was for my older son's Year 2 teacher who was going on her maternity leave. It was a Diaper Bike. On the day, so many parents asked me if I did that as a business. Made me wonder, business.....?Na....or may be!
I wanted to do something that I took pleasure in doing and would give me enough time to be with my gorgeous family. In 2020, I finally took the plunge. With the support of my forever amazing husband, adorable boys and stunning friends, I launched HiWish Gifts.
